-What types on c-stores are there in the Midwest? (neighborhood/community stores? commuter stores? interstate stores? other?)

-Are there any big chains of convenience stores that are very geared towards local communities and families?

    Brief survey:

The midwest has all of those markets, it just depends on where you locate your store.

Casey's General Store based out of DesMoines Iowa has a large number of stores (1000+) but they are not really a local or family minded store. They are more of a "do it the corporate way" store with little thought of tayloring there store to the local (smaller) markets.
